Zorka had five calm puppies until the big change that happened a week ago, now she has four calm puppies and a mischievous one. It was the youngest girl who started behaving in a way that would surely leave a mark in the litter’s memory.

Shortly after their birth, the boys seemed to be more assertive, but then they calmed down, so now the whole group can be considered peaceful, except for the mentioned smallest one.

What happened to Smurfette?

Let’s start with the fact that her name refers to her size and is a typical stage name given to her by Gizella Ménesi, who takes care of the litter. Smurfette will receive her real name this Friday along with her siblings, which we will report on. Smurfette’s behavior reminds her of her mother, Zorka, who can tidy up all the dogs in the house with just one look, even the rottweilers. Of course, what the little girl is doing at such a tiny size is pretty funny.

No trespassing

Now they are so fast and naughty – in terms of nipping at trouser legs and ankles, maneuvering under people’s feet – that they have temporarily fenced off an area in the garden where they are not underfoot  when they disturb the household’s comings and goings. (Of course, they immediately find the tiniest hole in the fence.) This slatted fence also has a gate, which they quickly learned to use, and they go in and out as soon as Smurfette lets them through:

All of a sudden, I noticed that there were seemingly bewildered grunts coming from the puppies, I immediately went over and was greeted by the following sight. Smurfette stood belligerently at the gate and did not let anyone through. There was no doubt that she was serious about it.

The strong opponent

There are also examples when the most impetuous puppy does not win.

Puppies play with lots of toys and objects, including some that they will have to pick up from the ground later, such as a set of keys. We develop something with each of them, such as the acceptance of strange sounds with one of them:

When one of the puppies pressed the belly of the yodeling toy doll for the first time, it was quite a surprise. Of course, Törpilla was the fastest to realize that something was wrong and started barking, but that wasn’t the end of the fun, so she ran to me to ask for help.

The puppies are quite human-like

Gizella said that the puppies are constantly looking for the company of people, competing to sit on their owner’s lap so that they can fall asleep as soon as possible; meanwhile, the others gather around and wait their turn.

First car drive

The team turned six weeks old, and they received their first vaccination, which was accompanied by traveling in a car for the first time in their lives. Everything went well at the veterinarian in Sóskút, they playfully and attentively made sure that they had a good experience.
