The eyes of Zorka’s puppies are opening

A big change is waiting for Zorka’s ten-day-old puppies, they will soon start walking and their eyes are already opening.

Zorka’s puppies are ten days old, and their eyes and ears are still closed, they rely on their sense of smell and heat to navigate, that’s how they find the most important direction for them, their mother and her nipples, because if they are on the wrong side (behind their mother), they still have to get to the nipples somehow. Fortunately, many of these funny moments remain for posterity, one of which we posted on our YouTube channel.

Let’s enjoy the small details!

“Recently, the puppies started walking on all fours, and they are raising their little tummies higher and higher. At such age, they are not so photogenic, you can admire the small details, their paws, their tiny eyelashes, their one-centimeter mustaches, their furry ears, which are still a tiny triangle and will grow later,” said Gizella Ménesi, their caregiver.

Within the team, they swap around to see who is the biggest; they are now on average 1.2 to 1.3 kilograms. No wonder the smallest one is the most active, as he has the least weight to carry. Gizella noticed that one of the yellow puppies is already starting to open its eyes, peeking out from the inner corner of its eyes.

The birth of puppies is an important event in our community:

“We are happy when a large litter is born because we want to give the trainers as many trainable dogs as possible. “The five puppies can still be considered a small litter, but this is Zorka’s first litter, so we don’t mind, because it helps her learn the role of mother more comfortably, and it’s easier for the puppies to eat because everyone gets two nippers, so there’s no fighting,” said our volunteer puppy raiser.
