Borsó’s puppies have switched to floor-crawler mode

Borsó’s puppies are now three weeks old and are visibly developing! Recently, they have not only grown significantly physically but their behavior has also changed a lot. They are becoming more active, bolder, and more curious about the outside world – they have turned into little explorers.

The first teeth and the flavors of the world

Their baby teeth have started to come through, so from now on, everything chewable has become a target. Whether it’s their mother’s ear, their siblings, or any object that seems like a toy, they try everything. This chewing instinct is an important part of their development, as it prepares them for solid food.

Wrestling and listening to Shrek in the evenings

The puppies have started barking and are testing their strength by wrestling with each other. “In the evenings, they are very active, and Borsó plays enthusiastically with them. I usually play music for them to get familiar with different sounds – the Shrek soundtrack has worked well so far,” said Melinda Leidgeb, the puppies’ caregiver.

The little ones are not only more aware of each other but also of Melinda. “They are starting to grow on my heart; I usually cuddle them one by one, and they lick me, and the nibbling phase has also begun.”

Floor-crawler mode activated

According to Melinda, the most exciting moment of the week was when the puppies started walking and jumping. “For now, their little legs are sliding back and forth; they are trying to run, but sometimes they slide on their bellies. Clumsily, but they are in floor-crawler mode. They are tasting, sniffing, and really starting to explore the outside world.”

However, this wobbling movement is only temporary, as in just over a week, they will be moving confidently. They adapt and develop rapidly.

Playing and exploring the world

From now on, the puppies will independently approach various objects to explore them. Their curiosity is boundless, and through play, they learn the most important social and physical skills. Melinda also helps them with music and speech so they can get used to as many sounds as possible.

The upcoming period holds even more excitement for Borsó’s puppies. Soon, they will walk even more steadily, start discovering new flavors of food, and play with each other more intensely.
