Azúr’s puppies are crawling around

Azúr’s puppies were born twelve days ago, and they’ve already come a long way. They are healthy, growing nicely, crawling around, squinting, and slowly beginning to show their true personalities.

Meet the Four Little Adventurers

“Everyone is doing well, and Azúr has recovered beautifully,” said Sára Kovács, Azúr’s owner. “The little girl is very sensitive — she whines loudly, but there’s nothing wrong with her. She’s a bit dramatic and very cuddly.”
This little female quickly revealed her strong personality: while the three boys fall back asleep right after feeding, she often keeps crawling around for up to an hour. Interestingly, she calms down easily when held and loves to snuggle.

Even at this early stage, differences between the puppies are noticeable. The first-born male is also quite sensitive, while the second and third are the calmest. The fourth boy has an excellent appetite — so much so that he’ll try to nurse even from his siblings if he gets the chance.

Their coats are also starting to take shape: three of them are darker, while one is lighter in color, making them easy to tell apart already.

A Routine Is Taking Shape

All four puppies have passed the one-kilo mark, doubling their birth weight. Their feeding schedule is also changing: while they used to nurse every two hours, now they eat every four — though Azúr still checks on them every two hours to make sure they’re okay.

The mother dog is handling nursing very well. She’s regained her appetite, has plenty of milk, is back to her usual routine, and has even started to want walks again.

“I can already see tiny openings at the corners of their eyes,” Sára added. “They’ll open them soon, and a whole new chapter will begin in their lives.”

Azúr is a devoted and nurturing mother, helping her puppies thrive. Their personalities are already beginning to emerge. One thing is certain: they are growing up in a loving, attentive environment, with everything they need to become healthy, well-balanced future guide dogs.
