There has never been an example of three litters of Labrador puppies being raised at our school at the same time. It is also special that all three mother dogs gave birth for the first time. The puppies are healthy and developing nicely.
Malina, Azúr and Topáz are raising them carefully. The four girls and seven boys are now being introduced to everyone.
Our volunteers take care of the mother dogs and puppies in their own homes. We have made three video interviews about the puppies being raised in Miskolc, Törökbálint and Szada.
The puppies of Malina will be three weeks old this Friday. All of them have already opened their eyes and can walk a few steps independently. Malina gave birth to two puppies. They are the letter G litter (their names will start with the letter G). The three puppies of Azúr will be the letter H litter.
The puppies of Topáz are already six weeks old. They enjoy the freedom of the garden where they spend long hours playing around and of course – eating. Alongside breast milk they have been receiving solid food for a while now. Their names will start with the letter F.
Malina hid
„The dearest task is raising a litter. It is always interesting to see what the mother does with the first pup of the first litter after delivery. Malina was so frightened that she ran away and hid under the shelf. This fright lasted for a minute then maternal instincts kicked in. From that point she raises these two litte „balls” wonderfully and it is clear that these little boys are growing day by day.” – said our volunteer, Gizella Ménesi.
Azúr and Móni are raise the puppies in home office
„Azúr passed the motherhood test with the best grade. She was a little energy bomb before but giving birth changed her. She reacts immediately for the whining of the little ones. Since there are three of them they can eat in a „rotating system” – said Mónika Füleki.
Móni likes to help and she is working in home office. She said volunteer tasks working very well next to her job. Both she and the puppies have wonderful days.
Kata’s mission: Topáz
„The puppies of Topáz are play a lot outside with their mommy since they are active and playful. They eat soaked food in the morning but they are still breastfeeding.” – said Kata Törökné Sándor who has already raised several litters for our foundation and loves spending time with the little ones.
Kata lives with visual impairement and she received her guide dog from our foundation. She would like as many visually impaired person as possible to be able to travel with such a loyal support partner.
