Adria Accompanied Zoé to Her Sister’s Graduation Ceremony

Adria Accompanied Zoé to Her Sister’s Graduation Ceremony

A guide dog is always considered part of the family, even during life’s most important moments. This time, Adria accompanied her owner, Balogh Zoé, to a graduation ceremony.

This week, Balogh Luca said goodbye to the Fényi Gyula Jesuit High School in Miskolc. We asked her sister, Zoé, what it was like to return to the school where she herself had graduated.

“The graduation ceremony was beautiful, and I became a little emotional realizing that my younger sister has now finished high school too. Four years ago, I was standing there among the graduating students, and now I returned with Adria by my side, whom all my former teachers adore and admire. I was also happy to show my dog where I went to high school,” said Balogh Zoé, who is currently studying English at the University of Miskolc.

Zoé made sure her dog looked beautiful for the occasion — she bathed Adria and washed her leash, collar, and harness. So the already gorgeous dog became even more beautiful.

Three young women and a yellow Labrador guide dog are standing in a paved courtyard during a ceremony. One of the women is holding a graduation bouquet, while another is holding the guide dog’s leash.

Zoé Wasn’t Afraid of Heights

“At this graduation ceremony, I literally stepped out of my comfort zone because I was wearing 7-centimeter high heels. It was the first time Adria guided me while I was wearing heels, and she handled it wonderfully. She was especially careful at the stairs.”

Zoé explained that her guide dog is considered a family member not only in everyday life, but also during important occasions:

“Adria is part of the family, so naturally I wanted her to be with us at such an important event.”
