As the weeks go by, Borsó’s puppies become more active and independent. Now four weeks old, they’re not just stumbling around exploring the world, they’re being naughty: playing, biting and showing their true colours.

The puppies play a lot outside in the garden and also inside in their own place, and then sleep peacefully at night. The little team is a real energy bomb, using every possible thing they can to play – each other’s ears, their plushies, even Borsó!

They sleep well at night, but we need to bring their energy levels down so they don’t run riot. They fight, they chew Borsó as well, so sometimes she retires to her place to relax after feeding the pups

All the four puppies have their own facial features

Melinda says it’s easy to tell the little ones apart, as they have different facial features:

I can identify the puppies by their faces. The little girl for example takes after her mother in character as well as in appearance. She is just as hysterical and willful as Borsó. The first-born is completely different: quick to learn, calm and looks like a bear cub. Today he fell asleep on his tray after lunch. It already seems like his puppy caregivers will have an easier job bringing him up. The two middle mischief-makers are the most active, but they are different in both face and colour.

It is meal-time!

The puppies don’t have any problems with their appetite, they are very enthusiastic when called to meal. They are responsive to squeaking and appear excited, as they know the meaning of the sound: it is meal-time. Now they are not only receiving breast milk, but have also started to eat solid food.
