In April we participated in the annual conference of the European Guide Dog Federation in Slovenia. It was a great honour for us to sit around a table among representatives of countries such as Belgium, France, England, Italy, Sweden, the Netherlands and Finland. The main objective of the Federation is to represent the interests of people using guide dogs as mobility tools at high levels in the European Prliamant as well. The main topic this year was equal accessibility of places such as supermarkets, nightclubs, especially with guide dogs. Several research have been done on this topic within the European Union and the findings and implications of were discussed by the representatives of the participating countries. In addition, of course, there was time to expand international relations, make friends, take long walks and get familiar with a small part of Slovenia by favor of the hosts. We were very pleased that we could take part in the meeting as representatives of Hungary.
